Re-domesticated

I finally bought a washer and dryer. No more lugging my clothes to and from the laundry-mat, no more losing 2+ hours of my week, every other week. No, it's not a big deal, but it is one more step toward making this living alone thing a permanent gig.

So, the next project is a new car. Not a *new* car, but rather a newer car. Perhaps even one from the same millennium in which I live. Much of that depends on a whole list of things. Actually getting the car is like step 27; I'm still on step 2. So no getting fixated on colors or options just yet.

Although, bunk beds really should be next on my list of short-term projects. That would actually motivate me to do something with the boxes of books and papers and junk in the extra bedroom. A certain amount will hit ebay (some just because, others because it will be more than worth the effort to list). I still have too much stuff. OK, the fact that I keep bringing in new stuff doesn't help.

Anyway, if I got bunkbeds, I could actually see my kids on the weekends more than just an hour or two at the house or while taking them shopping.

Whoa.. could it be? An almost regular life again?
