what a week

A busy, busy week. The house is at a standstill as the adjuster from the insurance company apparently is more interested in expediting the process than getting it right. His initial estimate of the damage and repair cost and the summary the contractor provided looked to be within 5% or so of each other, but digging into the details of the contractor's quote shows they may be 10k - 20k part. After declining my third request to meet with the contractor and I in person, the insurance adjuster said he'd send the details of his assessment to the contractor so he could amend his quote. If this doesn't go well, next week I'm going back to my insurance agent and request that a new adjuster be assigned to this.

Work is busy as ever. I actually managed to get approval to attend a vendor's seminar next month. Of course getting a free entry pass to the event helps, as that reduces costs to air faire and hotel. This is going to take place the last week of April in Orlando, which also coincides with my son's spring break from school. So I am going to look into what it would take to bring him along. He'd be stuck in the hotel room 6 - 8 hours a day, but we could hit Epcot and Universal in the evenings and over one of the weekends. Neither of us has any real interest in going to Diseny world.

I'm supposed to have my kids tomorrow, just a question of will they be delivered or if I'll have to go get them.

Books for soldiers

If you have any books you no longer want, or a few bucks in you paypal account you can do without, perhaps consider supporting these people who are supporting our troops while they clean-up Mr. Bush's mess.

My brother is currently over in Kuwait and will be stationed in northern Iraq some time in the next week or so. I don't have an address for him yet, so I've not added him to the web site. But you should still check it out.

Thank you.
