Mar. 30th, 2005 10:06 pmI was out with Mike at the mall getting him new shoes. We hit EB on the way out; he wanted to see how much they were asking for the new Sony PSPs and he was disappointed that they didn't have any. ($250, btw). While he was checking out the new Xbox games, I was looking to see what PC games they had on sale. When he asked me if I wanted Doom3, I told him yes, but not for $49.99. I played the first two Doom versions, Hexen, and a little Quake back in the day, so I did want it. But I'm also cheap and this time cheap won out.
Fast-forward to WalMart. He needed batteries and some other stuff, and of course we looked to see what was new on DVD. Apollo 13 cleverly priced at $13 was tempting, but I've seen it a dozen times and already have it on VHS so that was a pass. But, they had Doom3, and for only $28, so that was a buy.
If I never post again, you now know why.
