All's Well That Ends Well
May. 7th, 2005 09:16 pmThey sent Mike home today. His pain was about gone and white cell count back to normal. The doc is thinking it was a viral infection of the lymph nodes in his lower abdomen. So no appendectomy, no weeks long recovery. He even worked today.
He got to eat a late breakfast at the hospital this morning which was the first time he'd eaten anything except popsicles or soda since 5pm Thursday. I took him out late in the afternoon to do some shopping, and I told him I'd take him out to eat anywhere he wanted. He chose Ruby Tuesday's. It's fairly decent for a chain restaurant. We topped dinner off with their giant bowls of ice cream and chocolate cake. Plus I got carded when I ordered Killians, and the server was quite shocked when she looked at my drivers license. :-)
Definitely a nice ending to a hectic week.
