Jul. 13th, 2005 11:17 pmPapers were served in hand to the idiot on the 8th, so the game is now afoot. August 8th is the big day. If he's not responded by then I'll be awarded default judgement. On the other hand, he has the option to request a jury trial--and counter-sue--in which case it moves to superior court. Then it gets interesting.
In the mean time, I need to get my house in order. Literally and figuratively. I've got so much going on and so much I want to do; I need to make a point to make sure I'm spending time with my kids in and among all that. While taking them to the movies is fun (Star Wars and Sharkboy down, Batman, Fantastic Four, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, War of the Worlds, and Mr & Mrs. Smith to go. And Narnia. And Firefly. And more I'm sure), it's not terribly interactive and I really need that with them.
So tomorrow is going to be Deciding and Planning Day. There's only so much summer left and I'm not going to let this thing with the house consume it. There's a certain number of thing that I have to do: I have to get my car fixed. I have to get the furnace at the house fixed and figure out a budget for getting heating oil--for my place and at the house. Then I get to figure out play time for everyone. And by god, there will be playtime!
