I've been wanting to see a movie for a while now. I think the only movies I've seen this year so far are Curious George (I took Sam, she had a nice time) and Underworld, which was disappointing. I think the last move I saw before that was Narnia, and that was before Christmas.

So I'm going to go see Ultra Violet. I think. "16 Blocks" looks good, but so does Depp's new one, "The Libertine". But, I think wathing Milla kick ass is the tipping point here. Besides, I'm going to down to Mass. next week (through Wednesday), to EMC in the middle of west-Boston suburbia, for a class. So there'll be at least two nights to go see movies if there's nothing interesting on cable.

Next weekend "V for Vendetta" comes out and I may take one or more of the boys to see that with me. I have to work that Saturday night, so I may as well do something to have some extra fun in there. Work has been both busier and suckier lately, so the need to get out and hopefully destress is also a prime consideration these days.

I got my litho back from the frame shop; they did a very nice job, and as soon as my camera battery finishes charging I'm take and post a photo.

The movie was enjoyable. The cinematography could have been better, or perhaps some of the choreography for the fight scenes. I'd have to see it again to say if it was really the camera angles or the setups.

I could never be a director. Too many decisions to be made in too short a time for me. How many cameras? Which angles? How much action on screen, how much implied off? How much blood? And oh yeah, there's a Rating to consider too.

Not being an anime fan, I can't say how faithful to the genre it was. But then not being encumbered with that in my head undoubtedly made it easier to enjoy as well.
