- Elementary school finally admitting to problems they are causing and will stop doing so. We'll see. I hate that I was right about what was going on, but satisfied that they finally admitted it and will stop. Still, meeting with my attorney to ask him to advocate for us about the original issue, as that is still outstanding.

- My oldest son is back on track. Still a long way to go, but at least he's back in school by his own choice and wanting to do well again. An added bonus is that he's back to being willing to listen to me. This may work out for him yet.

- Yesterday refiled request with small claims court to have notice of partial payment hearing served to Mr. Lying-Construction-Guy at his mother's address where he's been living since his house got foreclosed. I should get copies of paperwork from the court in the mail tomorrow if this got heard today, or Tuesday if it's on Monday's docket. Then off to the sherrif and he'll be served by week's end. Court date, I'm guessing, will be sometime the end of May or beginning of June. Not that I have a ton of hope that he'll be wanting or able to pay anything, but at least he'll have to stop dodging the issue.

- Still on the fence about what to do about the rest of it. The house still has a half-dozen issues, most of which are not compliant with the building code. Not that the city or the insurance company cares. Only two of them are functional, the rest, like the insulation in the attic not being up to code, can wait.

- Still on the fence about what to do with the insurance company, as their last letter was not acceptable and quite clear that they didn't care.

- I'm might be able to swing the java class after all, despite my 16 year old trying to spend it all before I get paid next week.

I know I'm not going to be around to see any of this get to the working and practical stage, but my kids might. There's quite a bit going on in many areas of development. Some of this has to pan out:

artificial gravity

warp engine proto-type

impulse engine proto-types

telportation

tractor beam

phasers

sensors and scanning

and a great summary on the state of Star Trek physics
