I've got music
Apr. 28th, 2006 10:36 pmSpecifically, I have a keyboard. A Rhodes MK-80. I picked it up tonight after work. And because this is my life we're talking about, naturally it's not working 100%. According to the guy I bought it from, six of the keys aren't working. I did know this before tonight. I got it cheap, so even if it costs me a bit to repair, even if I can't do it myself and I have to take it in to get fixed, I'll still have spent less than buying a Yamaha or a newer Roland than this one.
One thing I did forget to take into account were speakers. I don't know if my stereo speakers will do for now, or not. I don't want to risk blowing them. Actually, I don't even know if the cables are compatible yet, or not. I have to unburry them from the books and papers on and around them in order to find out; that will be tomorrow's objected after I get back from getting the safety inspection for my car.
I do have the Service Notes for the keyboard, and I'll be poking around on-line for more info. The music store in Concord is fairly good, so I can check there too. The one in Manchester is even better, if it comes to that. At the least, I'll be needing some sheet music.
