Fourth foot note
Dec. 31st, 2006 10:46 pmThe color is almost all faded from my foot, and only my toes are purple. However, I may well lose my nail on my little toe, as that has become more purple in the last two days.

Good-bye to Brett Farve (?)
Dec. 31st, 2006 11:19 pmI've had the priviledge, as a sports fan, of living when I do and being able to watch the men who've competed during my life: Baseball's iron man, Cal Ripken, jr.; Golf's Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicholas; Hockey's Wayne Gretzky and Ray Bourque; and Basketball's Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. Consumate athletes, and gentlemen within and outside of their resepective games.
Brett Farve just called his team's win over their rivals the Bears his "last game". If he doesn't change his mind between now and the start of training camp for next season, pro football will have lost one of it's greatest assets and ambassadors of the game. The Packers will have lost the best thing that happend to them since Vince Lombardi. And another of my personal heros will have retired to a well deserved personal life outside the spotlight.
Good luck in your new adventure, Mr. Farve.
