Blood and Chocolate
Jan. 29th, 2007 12:56 amI had a lazy day today. Woke-up at 7am, look around, turned back over and went to sleep. When I woke-up again several hours later, I just laid there and thought about life and my kids and my dirty dishes in the kitchen waiting for me, and turn back over the other way and went back to sleep. I didn't actually get up until well after noon.
I did accomplish somethings today. I had started laundry yesterday, just had the sheets to wash today and fold the stuff in the dryer. There's something unique about the feeling of getting into bed made-up with flannel sheets warm from the dryer. I'll be experiencing that in another 20 minutes or so.
I've been in the mood for a movie all week and decided to indulge in that tonight. I went to the 10pm showing of Blood and Chocolate. I read a couple of reviews and the impression I got was it was an under-whelming slasher movie of the werewolf variety, but not really a werewolf movie. As it turns out, it's really a love story: boy hiding from his past chasing a girl he cannot have who is also running from her past and herself. What an ironic punch in the gut that was, eh?
