The Ultimate Answer. I'm my case, I really hope so.

Three 14s.
In 1979 I turned 14. My Dad was out of work. I had a paper route and very little clue about life. My world was school, comic books, music, and little else.
In 1993 I turned 28 and hit 14 twice over. I was now married with two children and on my fifth job in six years since finishing college, slowly moving up in my career. I'd been living in New Hampshire for less than six months, and my family for less than two. I was still naive, but not entirely without a clue. Kids will do that for you.
Now, in 2007, I am thrice 14. In the past third of my life I have been and become many things: a father of five wonderful children, a separated husband, a New Englander (much to my surprise), a jaded and still recovering post-fundamentalist christian (and not a very good one at that), a boyfriend, an ex-boyfriend, a Unix geek, a litigant, used, cheated, lied to, and ultimately, alone.
In 2021 I'll hit my fourth 14 and be 56. My youngest daughter, Elyssia, will be a year out of high school. My oldest daughter, Samantha, finished with college. My oldest boys, Brandon and Mike, will probably have families of their own, and only the good Lord knows what's going to become of my precious Danny-boy.
I, in all likelihood, will still be alone.
