There are times when having a good work ethic and exceeding expectations literally pay off. I got my review today, and much to my suprise, I was told that I've done an excellent job this past year. And here I didn't think they were paying attention. I got a nice raise (keeping in mind I work for a non-profit and nice is quit relative to the real world) that was very unexpected. This will help with life.

I asked directly about the oft' spoken of promotion potential, and was told it's still in the works. My manager made it clear he was in favor of promoting me to Storage Admin as a fulltime gig, but he's still working on convincing the CIO of the necessity of it all. Time for constructing horn blowing, methinks. I don't do it often, which also means I don't do it well, so this will take much consideration.

In the meantime, the court case continues. Tonight is all about drafting interrogatories. Next Monday is my filing deadline for amending my complaint. I figure by deciding what else I need from him, information-wise, and what else I want to try to pin him down on will help solidify where I am with this. Then I can go back later this week and hopefully better see where my complaint is weak. I've done some more research with other court cases and have some new point I know I need to make.

Once I've got the Amended Complaint done, I can finish these questions and go to work on Requests for Admissions. I only get 25 questions, so I don't want to waste one asking a simple yes/no that I can present on the Request for Admissions instead; or in the reverse, waste an Admission of fact that really needs more than an admitted/denied in reply.
