I had originally noted Monday's deadline as Final Motions and Amendments due"; however, rereading the Pretrail Scheduling Order shows that it's "motions for amendments". See, I can't just amend my complaint, I have to ask the Court for permission to do so. One more time where being procrastinatory and paranoid paid off.

Asking for permission isn't a big deal, and from what I've read, getting permission to amend is almost automatic. I've got the motion written and ready to file, with a copy already to put in the mail to his attorney. The only downside is that I could have mailed this if I did it last week, but didn't, so I have to file it in person tomorrow morning.

I had a movie date tenatively scheduled with a friend, but that didn't work out. So went to the house and collected Daniel and took him with me to WalMart. We were going to get an air pump so we could blow stuff up. The one we got was broken, but of course I didn't realize that until I got back to my place. It worked well enough to inflat Dan's soccer ball, which was the motivation for the trip in the first place, but the gauge is broken. So I'll have to exchange it before attempting to reinflate bike tires.

Just about every time I got to WalMart I am compelled to check out the electronics and videos. Nothing new on DVD grabbed my attention, but their clearance electronics did. I snagged a keyboard stand for Brandon, which was marked down to seven bucks from nineteen, and for me I got an ipod clock radio. It was a total impulse purchase, and even though it was half off at forty dollars, I really don't know how much or little of a bargain it was. I do know that I've been sleeping through my alarm clock way too often and that a change was more than needed. Tomorrow morning will tell how well this works.
