I did not get the offer from Monster. The interview process came down to me and another guy, and he got the offer. He either had more experience or was asking for less money, or both. The more experience part I can't change, and it doesn't make sense for me to ask for less money when looking down in Massachusetts. After all, there are plenty of opportunities for me to work for less money in NH, and all without the cost of the commute or the Mass. income tax. I still have 3 resumes out for jobs that, at last report, were actively looking to be filled by the respective employers. I made some follow-up calls today and hope to get updates tomorrow. I also found two more jobs to apply for.

Searching for jobs has become a form of casual entertainment. I run searches on dice.com, monster.com, jobsinnh.com, careerbuilder.com, and craigslist. I mentally note which jobs are listed on how many of the various web sites, and how many times by different agencies for the same position. Occasionally, I run into something truly weird like this request for a miracle on craigslist".

My former manager sent me this political t-shirt we can all support, at least those of us who know the reference.
