The Republic of San Serriffe was an April Fool's day invention of The Guardian, and has been carried on as a journalistic and quasi-literary tradition ever since. I have a Demand Note for 25 Coronas as part of my "fantasy" note collection. There's also a book on the coins of San Serriffe that I eventually want to add to the collection. There are copies at Oak Knoll, but I'm hoping to find a second-hand one at a fraction of those prices.
