It took 143 years since the end of the US civil war and the freeing of all of the slaves, but America has finally elected her first black President. When I was a kids in the 70s, people would talk about things going on, especially during the war in Vietnam, and it made it seem like today was never going to happen. When we live in Kentucky, the events of today were considered so preposterous they weren't even speculated upon. And yet, here we are.

Politics, and eventually life, in the United States of America will definitely be different; whether good different or bad different remains to be seen.
