merry christmas to me

Occasionally when I speak out, not only does it not get me into trouble, it actually works in my favor. This afternoon I made this comment on slashdot about an article on the big business selling used and refurbished computer equipment has become this year. One of the replies pointed me to anysystem.com. After looking through what they had, I bought a Dell Optiplex GX150, with a half GB of memory, 60GB hard drive, and a DVD drive for $99 plus shipping. It should be here Monday or Tuesday. If it's as advertised, I can put Linux on it (it doesn't come preloaded with any OS) and then use the 80GB hard drive in my Windows computer for ripping my CDs to load on my ipod. Or something.
