Just getting this out of the way right off: there's no terrible tale of woe, no fortuitous faux joy, no surprise twist or turn in my life. I'm still unemployed, still looking for work, still worried about feeding six kids and a dealing with an ex-wife and ex-gf who expect child support to be in full and on-time regardless of my job status. I did find 5 jobs to apply for this week (so far), so I'm up to 12 resumes sent, and in just three weeks. At this rate, if the statistics hold the same as last go-around, I should find a job through sheer perseverance by the middle of May, if not sooner. The really funny part about that is that if the state is keeps falling behind at the same pace as they have been processing unemployment claims, I might also see my first check from them around that time too!
