in a world economy that is anything but a level financial playing field, where there are children in some parts of Africa who get to eat once a day--if the relief workers can get to them; where there are teenagers in South America and the Pacific rim who get paid a dollar a day to make shoes or assemble electronics; where children in Iraq and Afganistan are living in war zones, how happy should I really be that I scored that sixty dollar shirt on sale for fifteen bucks so it can hang in my closet with a dozen others for 90% of the time during the year?
