busy day

Day started with a page that the data center lost power. By the time I got in most every thing was back up or on it's way. I only had to restart a half-dozen systems. Stuff like that tends to throw a heck of a wrench into the plans for the day.

Then, the idiot crontractor who screwed-up my house had the gall (and the stupidity) to actually SHOW UP AT THE HOUSE!!! WTF is he thinking? He tells my Ex that he'll be by for the plywood sitting on the deck tomorrow, and if I have a problem with it, to call him. Well of course I had a problem with it! So I go to the house at lunch and get my oldest to help me take it in and put it in the utility room. It's totally in the way, but the new contractor is set to start Tuesday, so it's not going to have to be there all that long. I paid for that stuff, we still need it, he's not going to get it.

Ok, I fell silly typing all that--but still! Original contractor was supposed to have pannels made to cover the entrance to the attic and to a storage area under the stairs. Never did that, but left the wood. So no, he's not getting it back.

On a brighter note, I think the antibiotics I'm on are actually clearing up my sinus infection. How nice it is to be able to breathe, to breathe deep even and not have it end in a coughing fit. If this is what smokers go through, I understand even less why they do it.

Friday I have off. Have to get my car inspected. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, eh? Actually a couple years ago I got ticketed cause it was like May 10 and I'd still not gotten it done. But, this year I am prepaired. Day off. Day after pay day even, so if I have to get tires and brakes like I am anticipating the car will need, I can do so. Heck of a way to spend a day, but at least it will get done and be safe to cart my kids around in. And that's the important part.
