RIP James Doohan
Jul. 20th, 2005 10:50 pmThe undiscovered country from whose bourn
No traveler returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
--Hamlet, Act III, Scene i, lines 57-91
Mr Doohan was a family man, was on the beach at Normandy in 1944, had a career he embraced and loved, and was a genuinely nice person in an industry infamous for turning people into fakes. I hope he has nought to fear in that Undiscovered Country.
