Rabbit, Rabbit !

Out of the blue, I finally remembered. Way back in this post I mentioned about saying "Rabbit, Rabbit" the first thing in the morning on the first day of the new month to bring yourself luck. I actaully remembered that this morning. It's silly, I know, but given everything I have going on this month, I'll take all the luck I can get. At work we already have a half-dozen software upgrades scheduled (including the one I'm doing today and tomorrow; yes, posting this from work whilest files ftp), two, maybe three hardware upgrades, 2 major projects starting and it's just the first day of the month.

On the 11th I'm meeting with an attorney who specializes in special education disputes to discuss the situation with my son and the school and how badly they are manipulating both him and the situation to keep him out of a regular classroom. Ultimately I hope to be able to have him placed in a different school district; it's really going to come down to time and money, which means I may need to take my mortgage company up on their home equity line o' credit offer. I'm stil hoping a few well worded letters to the school superintendant, the school board, and the state department of education will take care of this. Somewhat of an unrealistic outlook for someone who is otherwise pessimistic about life as I usually am, but I need--and my son particularlly needs--to catch a break on this.
