May. 1st, 2006 10:29 pmThere was no mistake that this morning was indeed a Monday. I eventually got over it. I owe my co-worker an apology. Not only did he have to deal with my monday-morning-attitude, he went the extra mile and bought me lunch as they had Atlantic Seafood chowder today and I was stuck at my desk, hand-holding the tech support guy from the HR application vendor who I had completely stumped with why their software wasn't working.
I did get to spend an hour with my kids this afternoon. My three little ones were getting check-ups; my youngest got 3 shots. Damn, that gets more difficult as I get older. I don't think either Brandon or Mike looked as small and sad as Elyssia did after having got the first two and now was fully aware of what to expect with the third. But she's a little trooper and didn't cry much and didn't yell at all.
After that, I took Danny to the Eye Doctor so he could pick out frames, which is something that should have happened weeks ago; unfortunately, I can't do everything all the time. We not only found a pair he liked, but one I knew would be durable enough for his little rough-and-tumble days and had the bonus of being more toward the lower-end of the price range.
Still I was at work until after 7, with potentially more of the same for tomorrow. So I'm looking forward to next week. I have Wednesday through Friday off, even though the reason for it sucks. I'm going to a seminar for parents and advocates of special education students. It's probably the most efficient way for me to get up-to-speed with the current legislation and practice without dropping 10 or 15 Grand on an attorney. Our legal system basically sucks ass, but it's the only one we've got, so better to work with it than just complain about it I suppose.

50_ft_queenie, I now have 7 pages of celtic cross tattoos to consider. I'm leaning toward this one, but am far from decided.
