shades of college daze
May. 23rd, 2006 07:39 amI'm feeling twenty years younger this morning. Mostly because I'm sitting here drinking coffee and watching music videos on TV with the whole day ahead of me, and nowhere I have to be, nothing I have to do, no one I have to anwer to. Of course that all changes tomorrow, but that's another worry for another day.
Today I'm going to go see the Da Vinci Code, have dinner out at my favorite place, and spend a lot of time in-between goofing off. I'd hit the coin shop too, but I don't get paid until Thursday.
Actually, I may stop in and say hello, as it's been almost a month since I've been in, what with working weekends as well as not having much disposable income this month. I think the last time I was in I sold him the coin I was so happy to buy last summer. I dropped most of my on-call bonus on it, and only lost $25 on it when I sold it back, so I came out of it a lot better off that I had feared when I first decided to go that route. I used that money to fund going to the seminar on Special Ed law, so it was a good trade. At the least I should go in and thank him. Having worked for him the first year I moved out, he's more than just a polite listener about what's going on in my crazy life, so I think he'll feel good about the trade too.
