Jul. 11th, 2006 12:27 amStill sick. Woke-up today feeling worse than I did yesterday or Sunday. I was terribly dehydrated, and that may have just been it. About a gallon of water and some toast later, I was feeling at least functional.
So day one of vacation was spent doing nothing much. I did relent and put my A/C in the window, which made it much nicer in here. I got together a couple boxes of books that are more or less unebayable to take to the used book store down in manchester. He'll give me something ridiculous like a buck a book, but it's better than nothing and gets them out of here.
Tomorrow is errands: used book store, bank, post office, coin shop, and auto parts shop to get new spark plugs. I'm too cheap to pay the $100+ for the tune-up so I've been doing it myself a little at a time, just the plugs left to do.
Wednesday I'm going down to Coventry, Rhode Island, to the General Nathanael Greene Homestead and Museum. Family legend says that we are some how related to the good General, so this should be interesting.
I did find a web site that does DNA testing that will validate your geneology. Sort of. There's project going for the Greene surname, so now I just have to decide if I want to drop the money on it.
I don't have anything planned for Thursday yet. Friday, the Dropkick Murphys are playing in Hampton; it's officially sold out, but I'm sure I could get a ticket on the "secondary market". Again, it's the money thing I've got to decide about. That, and not being sick still.
Saturday there are three renn faires going on that I can pick from. If I can get my kids, I may do the King Arthur Faire at Hammond Castle down in Gloucester, Mass. Or I may do that on Sunday and hit one of the other on Saturday.
Yes, I'm all sorts of decisive tonight, aren't I?
