court update
Mar. 23rd, 2007 11:45 pmThe first deadline in discovery was this past Wednesday. I did my part, but still nothing from him. This is not surprising, but still a pain. In what is probably a complete breach of protocol, I'm going to call his attorney's office and ask her if she's going to comply with the court order or not? And let her know that every single time she misses a deadline that I'm going to file a motion to compel just to make the point with the court.
I also have 20 days to reply to the counter claim, which makes that due the 1st. April Fool's day, how appropriate. Except that it's a Sunday this year, so effectively I have to have something to file by next Friday morning. So this week after work I get to wear my Perry Mason hat every night and do research. There's 7 or 8 paragraphs to the counter claim (don't have it in front of me at the moment) and I've only researched my response for two of them, so I've a bit of work to do. Particularly that I'm going to probably have a page or two rebuttal for each.
Fun Stuff.
