and then somtimes, fate smiles
Apr. 1st, 2007 06:53 pmIt doesn't take a long time reading my journal to conclude that Fate and I have a very hot and cold relationship. Occasionally, timing and opportunity fall my way and things Work. This is sort of one of those times.
I hit the Powerball. No, not the multi-million dollar jackpot, but four numbers and the powerball, good for ten grand, or probably 7 grand after Uncle Sam takes his cut. Still, there's plenty of enablement there that will help tie off more than one loose end in my life.
I am still somewhat in disbelief. This is, after all, my life and this sort of good fortune is generally not a recurring theme for me. But I will happily take and move on, but warily watch for the other shoe I can feel looming somewhere in the background, just waiting for the proper time to drop. Probably squarely on my head.
