I bought a Boston Globe today to look through the want ads. That proved to be a waste of $2.50, as there was only 2 pages with about a quarter of the page each with technical job postings. I'm not sure how much of a reflection that is on the current economy, or just how much of the market Monster and Dice have captured.

So far I've applied for two postions and given my resume to a former co-worker to pass on to a headhunter. Not a promising start, but then I only need one job.
