summer colds suck
Aug. 4th, 2007 12:48 pmThere's no good time to be sick, but having a cold in the Summer is just the worst. I tried a couple of different things and think I've found the right medicine for this to dry me out without making me too dizzy. Whatever I take hits me hard, and none of it lasts as long as the box claims it should. I'm on some 12 hour stuff now, which will at least get me through most of the day.
But, no movies, no haircut, no day with my kids. I don't want to drive, and really don't feel up to being out.
I found a second job ad on dice.com to reply to last night. It's in New London, which four towns north-west of where I live. The ad didn't say, but I'm guessing that the job is either at New London Hospital or at Colby-Sawyer College.
New London Hospital used to be affiliated with the hospital in Concord, and I strongly suspect it would be viewed as a huge burning-of-the-bridge by management at my current job if that where the job is and what I ultimately get offered and accept. The upside is that I don't think I'm over priced for the job. If the job is at the college, that would be very cool, but I don't have high hopes that they would pay well. Except poking around their website shows only a Director of Information Resources postion open. Checking the hospital's website show no open IT jobs. So now I'm puzzled. Perhaps I'll find out Monday.
