"The Oh in Ohio"
Sep. 4th, 2007 03:49 pmIt's a cute movie, simple enough to seem real, and farcical enough to be very entertaining. Parker Posey's character runs the gamut from frigid, flighty, intense, spontaneous, out-of-control, introspective, and finally fulfilled. It's got Danny DeVito doing what he does best, Heather Graham in a funny cameo (I thought), a slinky-hot Mischa Barton, plus you get to hear Tuvoc swear!
Edit: The alternate beginning was much, much better and ought to have been left in. It was most likely cut for time, as the movie is 88 minutes. I've never understood the studio's desire to have a film under an hour-and-a-half, or under two hours. Just tell the story. The alternate ending was best left deleted, as were most of the other deleted scenes. And I forgot! Liza Minnelli has an absolutely freakin' hilarious cameo that is worth the time to watch the movie just to be able to appreciate her appearance in context.
