I got an e-mail this afternoon from the headhunter I've been working with, that the company I've been waiting for three weeks to schedule an interview with me has "decided to change direction for the position" and is no longer considering me as a candidate. Gee, thanks for taking three weeks to string me along. I'm thinking shenanigans, but whatever.

After getting that e-mail, I went back out to Dice and looked at a job posting from another staffing company, and figured out who the actual company was, went to their web site, and sure enough, there it was. So I sent them my resume, and about an hour and a half later I got a phone call from the HR person. We chatted for about 10 minutes; she told me she had already forwarded my resume to the hiring manager who may call me today. About an hour later, I did indeed get a call and we talked for just under two hours. He wants to bring me in next week for an on-site interview, so this is looking good.

I also applied for two other jobs between yesterday and today, so I have more things to follow-up on next week. I've spent most of today writing my replies for court. Well, writing the first reply. I think I've done as much research for this as I did for the original motion. I have until Monday to finish and will probably take a lot of the weekend to edit and revise. If I can make it to Monday, I get a free day on Tuesday and the Court on Wednesday. It's going to be a fast 6 days I think!
