It is Tuesday, and at my place, Tuesday means TV. Bones, House, and LA Ink. Except I forgot, so I only caught the last 20 minutes or so of Bones. House is weird, they are screwing with the cast. The formula is staring to wear thin too. But the one-liners are still kickin'.
I don't watch reality TV. Not Survivor, not Big Brother, not Dancing with the Stars. I did get sucked-up into American Idol for a bit last Spring, courtesy of my sister-in-law, but managed to get over that before it stuck. But, I do watch LA Ink. It's my new guilty pleasure. Kat is beautiful in all the ways that Cindy Crawford isn't. The drama is low-key enough to not be annoying. And then there's the art. The art is phenomenal. I want to get a tattoo and watching this show just psyches me up for it even more.
I've gone back and forth a hundred times or more about what I want. I'm *almost* settled on some celtic knot-work on my left upper arm, with my daughters name in fancy script around it. One of the tattooists on the show, Kim, has a huge rose on her left front shoulder. It's in dark purple and black and it's just gorgeous, and I'm thinking that the knot I want should be in the dark purple. I've not decided on what color to get the girls' names in, so that may change the knot color.
So, maybe after I get employed again and can save some money, I'll fly out to LA and get inked. ;-)
And speaking of employed, I had a phone interview today that ran an hour and went very well, I think. I have an on-site interview tomorrow down in Massachusetts and a possibility for another next week. If any one of these transforms into a job offer, that would be just grand.
