events for October
Oct. 1st, 2007 05:59 pmIt's only the first, but I've already found a few things to do this month.
On the 5th, 6th, and 7th is 5th annual New Hampshire Coin and Currency Expo, in Bedford, NH. 75 dealers from all over New England and a half dozen other states will be there, with a 2007 silver eagle dollar raffled away every hour. I'm hoping to be able to sell a few items here. I've hung onto a couple of nicer, pricier coins for a several years, and ought to be able to do better than breaking-even on them.
On the 7th, Esperanza Spalding will be playing at the Lily Pad in Cambridge as part of a benefit fundraiser for Leukemia research. Tickets are $15.00, $10.00 for students. Job or no, I plan on attending this.
Comedian Steven Wright is going to be in Concord on the 9th. Tickets for this one aren't cheap, so I'm hoping good things will come from my interview tomorrow, otherwise I'm going to have to pass. This is the second or third time he's been in Concord, too. He may be one of those people I'm just destined to never see. (Jethro Tull is one.)
On the 13th, Mini Jacket will be playing at the Barley House in Concord, NH. Always a good show, this is the second time they've played the BH after "retiring", so no telling if this is really the last show, or not.
