connections
Oct. 17th, 2007 10:58 amMy new contract job has a few logistical hurdles, not the least of which is my dial-up internet connection, although I did finally make the move and get DSL. Verizon is now offering DSL for $14.99/month for Life, so the timing there was nice. In the meantime, I have to contend with my dail-up and letting my new manager know what my IP address is every time I connect, so he can change the firewall so I can get it. In fact, I'm waiting for him to e-mail me back letting me know he's made the update for today so I can get to work.
I don't know that this will be that much different on DSL, because I am highly reluctant to leave my computer turned on 24x7, let alone actually connected to the Internet constantly. So I thought I'd take a poll and see what other's habits are in this regard.
