new adventure
Mar. 2nd, 2008 08:23 pmTomorrow morning I am going to do something I've not done for 6 months: get up and drive to an office-building and go to work. After having done what I did and went through the last 6 months, if I had it to do again, I wouldn't. But, I am glad that I did. I learned a lot about myself, and life, and money. It sounds all so trite, but I did. Now I need to make that experience pay off and put the education into practice.
I don't want to make more of it than it is, but at the same time, I want--and probably need--for this to be a Big Deal. One, so I'll take the opportunity seriously, and two, so that I'll appreciate that someone had enough faith in me to give me a job. After all, I could still be unemployed.
My new employer has a flexible start time, which is great, because I am not at all morning person. I told
zentariana earlier "a day that starts before noon is a day just asking for trouble". Hopefully tomorrow won't be all that much trouble, but if it is, I'll be up for it.
