I should have stayed home today, as I think I'm getting sicker. My head cold is starting to settle into my chest and it hurts. But I didn't, intead I drove through the snow this morning played dodge-cars with the timid drivers doing 25mph and those fearless, SUV-driving idiots doing 70.

We are still having problems with sudo not authenticating with NIS. The windows admin insists that it's a sudo bug, and pointed to some newsgroup article from 2003 as substantiation, even though it had nothing to do with the problem we are having. So my recommendation Monday (if I go in) will be to ditch NIS and move to LDAP, which everyone *seems* to be in support of doing.

The wine was OK. It has a very fruity taste at first, which isn't something I generally like; I prefer the wines that are more oaky and heavy, and yes, that is a very limited subset. But, the redeeming quality of the Vampire wine is it's incredibly smooth finish. It went well with the beef, but the second glass all on its own wasn't the same or as good. So I'll save what's left to go with the lamb I have in the freezer, which I'm saving for when I'm no longer sick and can properly smell and taste and actually enjoy what I'm eating.
