From the entry on the kidney:

"The kidneys of animals can be cooked and eaten by humans (along with other offal). If prepared properly, they can be nutritious and pleasant tasting.[citation needed]"

Who bids over $200 on an ebay auction, and then not only doesn't pay, but cancels their ebay acccount?

There was about 15 minutes left on the auction when this person bid. I checked their bid history (cause I was nervously watching the auction sit with one bid, going nowhere), considering they had zero feedback, and they had bid on 26 other auctions. Of course, thanks to ebay's new "features", I can't see any of them, so there's little recourse I have. I did file a payment dispute and got the final value fees refunded, so it wasn't a total disaster. I also extended the offer to buy to the underbidder, and if they don't want it I can always relist it.

But this makes no sense whatsoever. Particularly because I got the high bidder's address in the end-of-auction email from ebay. I was able to use that in Yahoo's people search to get the phone number for the address, which I am seriously tempted to call tomorrow. But other than to satisfy my curiosity, and with the awareness that there's the potential for some theraputic yelling, there's not much point in calling. But it still bugs me.
