I got my tax return done. Thanks to a combination of unintended over-withholding and the grand-a-head child tax credit, I'm getting a big refund. And while I could have certainly made use of the money over the course of last year, getting it back in a lump sum is actually going to enable me to catch-up and get ahead. I'm going to pay down my credit card, bank some of it, and use the rest to fund this year's vacation. I've been kicking around a couple of ideas, including taking the kids to Hershey, PA (they have chocolate and Falcons!) and Gettysburg, take the kids to York's Wild Kingdom in Maine, or going to Convergence.
