hurry up and wait
Mar. 15th, 2010 11:50 pmElyssia's appointment with the ophthalmologist was today, with the net result being she's being scheduled for an MRI and a visit with a neurologist up at Dartmouth. Or down in Boston, if my health insurance doesn't work up there, which I'm hoping it does strictly due to the traffic and parking nightmare that is Beantown. Still no answers, but he did say it's probably not an infection.
I also called my brother and asked if my Dad's test results were back, as my mom hasn't told me one way or the other. He's been trembling for awhile and my mom has been talking about getting him looked at, and yes he did test positive for Parkinson's. He's not bad, nowhere near the level of The Michael J. Fox School of Phantom Orchestra Conducting, at least. And it's actually much better to have an answer than not, so I hope my family is OK with this as opposed to the endless search for Something Else. This, of course, means that I need to schedule myself a physical and get tested for a few things including Parkinson's, so the neurologist will have a more accurate family history for my daughter.
