(no subject)

It was, finally, a beautiful spring day here. I walked a bit today, but it would have been better had there not been so much food involved, though. This morning I walked down the next street over from mine to the restaurant on the corner, which I had never been to before. The menu was disappointingly limited (I was hoping for eggs benedict), but the pancakes I got were good. Then this afternoon I walked downtown, first stopping at the coin shop to talk with Frank for a while, then on down the Barley House where I indulged in mussels steamed in a cream sauce, and a caesar salad with grilled shrimp. And I was good, I only had a single Guinness, as I had to work tonight.

I'm on call this week too, which for the most part was a non-event. Until Thursday, when I got paged at 2:30 and it didn't stop for the next 4 hours. Fortunately, that was isolated to a single system and the steps we took Friday morning seems to have taken care of things for now. In spite of being on call, I am seriously considering going to a movie tomorrow afternoon. I have a free pass and am thinking of seeing "Repo Men", except that I also want to see "She's Out of My League"--but that would be better with a girlfriend along, and I seem to be short at least one of those still.
